The law firm has only just launched its bid to formally recruit customers for the class action suit and says it won't be able to put a definitive figure on the sum being sought until it knows how many customers want to join the action.
Patrick Coote, a spokesman for the action's newly secured financial backer LCM, said he believed that the claim could reach into the tens-of-millions dollars.
"LCM is happy funding the class action against Vodafone. We think many customers didn't receive full value for the service that they paid for and they're entitled to claim their losses against Vodafone," Mr Coote said.
The long-awaited class actions follows widely publicised allegations of major problems "http://www.jimmychooshoesky.com/" data-mce-href="http://www.jimmychooshoesky.com/"Cheap Jimmy Choo with Vodafone's mobile service since 2010 and a grassroots campaign by web based consumer action group, Vodafail.
Since then Vodafone's network has been under scrutiny by the Australian Communications and Media Authority and the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman.
Mr Coote said that LCM decided to join the class about two months ago. He assured consumers that the action would be fully underwritten by LCM and that they would face no exposure to financial liability if the claim failed.

If the litigation runs beyond that it's fee climbs to 33 per cent.
Piper Alderman said that 23,000 Vodafone customers had already informally expressed interest in the class action suit through the company's web site as it launched its media bid to encourage customers to come forward and join the suit formally.
Vodafone said it had not been made privy to the list making it impossible to know how many had already received compensation and hence would be ineligible to participate.
Vodafone has already lost around a million customers since 2010.
"Vodafone is aware that a law firm which is known for promoting class actions has repeated longstanding plans to proceed with action against us. That firm has not contacted Vodafone directly about this since it first threatened action in 2010, nor has it sought to discuss the claims of any customers it represents in the class action with Vodafone.
"Vodafone has not been provided with any details of the class action at this stage and is therefore not able to comment on the claims which might be made," the company said in a statement.
Piper Alderman's lead solicitor for the class action Sasha Ivanstoff said that the "http://www.jimmychooshoesky.com/" data-mce-href="http://www.jimmychooshoesky.com/"Jimmy Choo Shoes Outlet company would be seeking to negotiate with Vodafone before taking the matter before the courts.
Mr Ivanstoff said that many small business owners had reported financial losses due to problems Vodafone's.
"There are a lot of tradespeople who have simply lost business because people couldn’t get through to them, business simply went elsewhere. We've got doctors who couldn't contact their patients," Mr Ivanstoff said.
